#MeaningfulMomentsMonday

Over the weekend my future sister-in-law Shannon and I went to a wedding cake tasting! There’s nothing I can complain about when it comes to Corey’s Bakery & Catering and what this amazing chef does! Chef Corey uses all natural fresh local or imported ingredients to make some wildly innovative and delicious flavors, he even makes his own vanilla extract to go the extra mile to ensure everything he does is authentic. I was in love with his Hummingbird Cake, it made me think of my Mema (my great-grandmother), she used to make a great one. I also surprised myself and fell in love with a Caribbean Cooler cake-featuring pineapples, mangos, coconut and other island-specific fruit with a delicious Margarita Frosting, it was so light and refreshing, I’m definitely considering this one for my Bridal Shower! It was such a great experience talking about our weddings together, venting about new-mom-life-stresses, and getting to hang out with someone who plays such an important role in my brother’s life, and someone who will one day be my sister! While Shannon generously invited my sister Sasha and I to be part of her bridal party,  she’s also an ally in my campaign to get my brother to let me be his Best (wo)Man, I really want to wear this outfit at their wedding!
